Observation Park

Meteorology Study Program has an observation park that is used for introducing, learning, and practicing meteorological observation. Several conventional observation instruments are installed in this park. Currently there are two observation parks: one is for observation using manual instruments and the other one is for observation using automatic instruments. Examples of manual or analog instruments are wet and dry bulb thermometers, hygrometers that are placed inside meteorological cages, manual rain gauges, and evaporation pans. An example of automatic tool is the Automatic Weather Station (AWS). Beside studying, students often use this park for outreach program such as promoting meteorology subjects to other ITB students, high school students, or even public society.
